Skangas’ Coralius bunkered liquefied natural gas to the Fure West tanker for the first time. The operation took place on international waters, Northern Kattegat, in the middle of the sea between Frederikshavn, Denmark and Gothenburg, Sweden.

Skangas' vessel Coralius, first LNG bunkering vessel built in Europe, has completed its maiden voyage in Norway, delivering LNG to the Skangas-operated terminal in Ora, Fredrikstad, on Thursday. The vessel was loaded with LNG from the company’s production facility in Risavika, Stavanger.

Skangas has entered into an agreement with ESL Shipping for providing LNG to ESL’s bulk carrier newbuildings. The new, ice-class 1A ships will be the first LNG-powered large bulk carriers in the world, that will carry out sea transports within the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. 

On May 22, the first European-built LNG bunker and distribution vessel was named "Coralius". The new vessel will offer LNG bunkering services for Skangas. Now, LNG is expected to become far more accessible for the Scandinavian region.

Skangas announced that won the framework agreement for supplying liquefied natural gas (LNG), to the offshore patrol vessel Turva and icebreaker Polaris for 2017–2019. The agreement has option for two additional years. The tendering process was organized by the Finnish government central purchasing body, Hansel Ltd.

Skangas announced that its new LNG bunker vessel, Coralius, is expected to arrive in June 2017. Her main operation area will be from the Kiel Canal to mid Norway, including part of the North Sea and she can deliver Liquefied Natural Gas both in ports and at sea.

The Finnish icebreaking service company Arctia’s newest icebreaker, IB Polaris, set out from Katajanokka, Helsinki, for icebreaking duty in the Bothnian Bay and arrived for bunkering at the Skangas LNG terminal in Pori on January 10, 2017.

To be completed at the Meyer Turku shipyard in late January, Tallink’s new LNG powered fast ferry M/S Megastar was bunkered with LNG for the first time at the newly opened Skangas Pori LNG terminal on January 4.

Skangas has signed an agreement with Statoil, the Norwegian oil and gas company, for a small-scale LNG reload to take place at the Klaipeda LNG Terminal in Lithuania. The reload will take place early January 2017. This will be the first reload conducted at the terminal and it is the first time Skangas source LNG from Statoil.

Skangas has entered into an agreement with Statoil for delivery of LNG fuel for their platform supply vessels. The LNG will be delivered to several bases along the Norwegian west coast by ship.
