RS Class has launched the nuclear icebreaker Arktika.The launching ceremony of a lead nuclear icebreaker Arktika, pr. 22220, being constructed to the class of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (the Register, RS), took place at Baltic Shipyard on 16 June 2016.

A keel laying ceremony for a multipurpose icebreaking ship of project P-71014, first ship of a series being built to the class of RS, was held at Archtech Helsinki Shipyard.

 A keel laying ceremony was held Monday at Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. for the first of six ships in the project 42К Arctic Shuttle Tanker series.All six ships of the series will be named after the famous Russian explorers of the Arctic, including participants to the Great Northern Expedition of the 18-th century. The ships are being built to the dual RS/LR class. SCF Group is the shipowner of three tankers of the series.All tankers of the series are intended for operation in high latitudes at temperatures up to – 45 °С under conditions of year-round navigation. They are designed with due regard to all applicable RS requirements, international regulations and standards. The ships will provide crude oil transportation from the Gulf of Ob area. Completion of construction and delivery of the prototype ship to a customer is scheduled for late June 2016.  Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has participated in the official ceremony of hoisting the RF national flag on a new diesel-electric icebreaker Vladivostok of project 21900 М.The ceremony was held on 23 September 2015 at Naberezhnaya Leitenanta Shmidta, St. Petersburg in the frame of the International Maritime Exhibition and Conferences of Russia - NEVA 2015.The ceremony was attended by General Director of Vyborg Shipyard PJSC Alexander Soloviev, Deputy Minister of Transport Viktor Olerskiy, Acting Head of Rosmorrechflot Sergei Gorelik, USC President Aleksei Rakhmanov, Vice-Governor of the Leningrad Region Dmitrii Yalov and other officials. Naming ceremony of three highly sophisticated offshore supply vessels was held on 10 September 2015 at Keppel Singmarine in Singapore

  On 28 July 2015, the steel cutting ceremony for the third ship of the project 42K Arctic Shuttle Tanker was held at the Korean shipyard Samsung Heavy Industries. A series of six oil tankers has been ordered by PAO Sovcomflot for oil transportation from Novoportovskoye field. The ships are constructed to dual class, RS acting as the leading society. Steel cutting and keel laying for all the six ships of the above series will take place in 2015. Completion of construction of the first ship, for which the steel cutting ceremony was held on 1 April 2015, is scheduled for June 2016.
