The crew departed the vessel onto the towing vessel Ellysa with no reported injuries. The Ellysa also took the one empty barge the Vincent J Eymard was towing. The capsized vessel has approximately 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel onboard. As a result, a waterway restriction has been issued from mile marker 175.9 to mile marker 176.9 requiring one-way traffic.

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority received a report that a helicopter had crashed into the water about 35 kilometres north of Port Hedland in Western Australia, and is currently conducting a search in that area. The EC-135 helicopter, had two people onboard, was heading to the bulk carrier MV Squireship to collect a marine pilot.

The US Coast Guard announced it suspended its search for two people that went missing, after the vessel they were aboard sank in the vicinity of mile marker 90.5 on the Mississippi River near New Orleans on Monday. Local forces searched about 101 square nautical miles for over 43 hours and found no signs of the men.

The missing 33-year-old crewman of the cargo ship 'Lara Venture' was last seen at about 2:10 a.m., Tuesday, when he reportedly fell overboard near Cape Charles, Virginia. The US Coast Guard has suspended its search, after covering about 112 square miles for 12 hours.

The US Coast Guard informed that it is searching for two people after a towing vessel sank in the vicinity of mile marker 90.5 on the Mississippi River near New Orleans, on Monday, 12 March. The good Samaritan vessel Earl Gosling managed to rescue one person.

The Singapore Government thanked the Indian Coast Guard for its immediate action in extinguishing the fire and conducting search and rescue operations, after the Maersk containership “Maersk Honam” caught fire on Tuesday, 6 of March.

After the vessel "Maersk Honam" sustained a serious fire in one of its cargo holds. 23 crew members were evacuated, but Maersk Line informed that one of the evacuated crewmembers lost his life, as he sustained serious injuries. As the company stated, the health of one of the crewmembers deteriorated on Wednesday, March 7 afternoon, resulting in losing his life. 

On Tuesday afternoon, the vessel "Maersk Honam" sustained a serious fire in one of its cargo holds. 23 crew members have been successfully evacuated, but search and rescue operations are ongoing for four crew members who are missing.

The USCG, port partners and local authorities are investigating the grounding of the 88-foot commercial fishing vessel 'Chui Zai Fa No. 1' about 300-yards off Leone Bay, on Monday. The Taiwanese-flagged vessel reportedly caught fire on 4 November 2017 and the master with one crew remain missing.

The tanker 'Marine Express', which had been missing in the Gulf of Guinea since Friday and was feared to be hijacked by pirates, is now back under the command of the captain and crew, with all crew members reported to be safe.
