Japan P&I Club updates the quarantine measures implemented by Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, informing that PCR negative certificates are required for all on-signers embarked the vessel in all foreign countries when vessels call at a Korean port.

The Korean Disease Control and Prevention Agency announced enhanced quarantine measures. Now, COVID-19 PCR negative certificates are required for all on-signers embarked the vessel in all foreign countries on or after 15th January, 2021.

Samsung Heavy Industries has been ordered to shut down operations on its main plant in Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province, following a series of deadly accidents caused by safety lapses. The Ministry of Employment and Labour announced that a  58-year-old laborer was killed when construction materials ― 1.5 tons of H-beam steel ― from a crane fell on him at a Samsung Heavy shipyard in Geoje.
