Greece offered a potential alternative route for Ukrainian grain exports, to aid in the movement of goods after the expiration of the Black Sea Grain Initiative.

On 26th August, a second container ship sailed through a temporary Black Sea corridor established by Ukraine’s government, after Russia halted a wartime agreement aimed at ensuring safe grain exports from the invaded country’s ports.

After the termination of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI) Maritime Administrator has raised the security level setting for vessels operating within the Russian exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
