Navis announced that Qingdao New Qianwan Container Terminal Co., Ltd, Asia’s first fully automated terminal, successfully implemented the Navis N4 terminal system, under phase one of its larger automation project, to leverage advanced functionality for automated equipment, including optimized scheduling and dispatching, and analytics.

Høglund Marine Automation announced that has secured two contracts to supply automation systems for an LNG bunker vessel operated by Bernhard Schulte, and two chemical tankers for Sirius Shipping. The systems include the power management system, and additional systems that manage interactions between the ship machinery systems, and the cargo plant.

The newly-built Victoria International Container Terminal, at Webb Dock East in the Port of Melbourne, was named Smart Infrastructure Project of the year.
