AMSA: Perpetual Certificates of Proficiency

AMSA informs that Certificates of Proficiency as Rating (Able Seaman, Deck Rating and Engine Room Rating) and Certificates of Safety Training issued in perpetuity (i.e. no expiry date) will expire after 31 December 2016 in accordance with the STCW Convention as amended. This means that the holders of such certificates will not be able to work from 1 January 2017 unless they have revalidated that certificate.
