A fishing boat with about 40 students onboard, capsized off the coast of Dahanu in Palghar district of Maharashtra in India. While the exact number of the children onboard the vessel is still unclear, local media report that three girls have lost their lives, with 32 students having being rescued.
The children were on the ship having a picnic, with information saying that the fishing vessel was allegedly overloaded.
After the ship capsized, the Indian Coast Guard launched a search and rescue mission, in which 32 students were rescued, and the bodies of three girls were found.
The search and rescue mission continues in order for the missing ones to be found, as the Coast Guard deployed ships, planes and helicopters to the area.
