On August 19, Jiangnan Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of CSSC, carried out a steel cutting ceremony for the first 7,600CEU LNG dual fuel PCTC for SAIC Anji Logistics.
The vessel is designed with a total length of 199.9 meters, a width of 38 meters, a depth of 15.5 meters, a structural draft of 10.2 meters, and a service speed of 19 knots.
SAIC Anji Logistics, a unit of China’s biggest automaker SAIC Motor, ordered two 7,600CEU LNG powered PCTCs in October last year. The vessels will have a deadweight tonnage of 13,100 tons, and 13 cargo decks including four movable decks.
The ships will also feature WinGD’s ICER technology to bolster fuel efficiency and cut the vessels’ methane slip. The duo was designed by Shanghai Ship Research and Design Institute (SDARI).
CSSC’s Jiangnan expects to deliver these two vessels in March and September 2024.
