Collaboration in the areas of quality shipping and green shipping
Singapore and Denmark are strengthening their maritime cooperation and relations through a memorandum of understanding (MOU).
The MOU was signed by Singapore’s Transport Minister, Mr Lui Tuck Yew, and Denmark’s Minister of Business and Growth, Mr Ole Sohn, on Friday.
Under the MOU, Singapore and Denmark will explore opportunities for collaboration in the areas of quality shipping, green shipping as well as maritime research and development, education and training.
For example, Singapore and Denmark will cooperate to address the environmental impact of shipping.
Both countries will do their best to support and implement international measures developed by the International Maritime Organisation to promote clean and green shipping.
