In line with measures by several other states in response to COVID-19 pandemic, Saudi Arabia has temporarily suspended sea trips for passengers between Saudi Arabia and 50 countries, including 27 EU states.
In a circular, the General Authority of Ports informed that it temporarily halted international flights and sea trips for passengers and residents amid COVID-19 outbreak.
The decision includes 27 EU states, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, and Somalia.
In addition, the Kingdom suspended entry to people coming from these countries.
However, the ban exempts cargo traffic, and the passage of exceptional humanitarian cases.
Saudi Arabia has 133 coronavirus cases as of 16 March.
