Port of Rotterdam is in line with the precautionary measures implemented in the Netherlands for the utmost safety and mitigation of the COVID-19 spread and is always in touch with many nautical providers and companies in a range of consultation processes.
Specifically, as Dr Tedros, WHO Director-General declared the COVID-19 as a global pandemic, the Netherlands followed the rest of the world, implementing measures to contain the spread of the virus.
Therefore, the port is frequently communicating with the various nautical service providers, companies and interest groups, both bilaterally and in a range of consultation processes. Also, they regularly discuss with public authorities, both local and national, with the aim of ensuring that the port continues to operate as well as possible in the current difficult conditions.
In the statement, the port highlights that
… We do our utmost to be the safest, most efficient and most customer focussed port and business area. Not just in good times, but also now. Rest assured that we will be doing everything we can to minimise the impact of COVID-19 on the port.
Concluding, the port advises interested parties to keep in touch and turn to them with any questions, doubts or concerns, adding that if there is any relevant news in the time to come, they will keep anyone informed.
