Strengthening Russian and EU port companies economic relations
At the residency of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Russia on April 23, 2014 the Memorandum of Understanding between FSUE “Rosmorport” and the Port of Zeebrugge was signed.
On behalf of the enterprise the signing ceremony was attended by Andrey Boldorev, Head of Investments and Strategic Development Department, on behalf of the Port of Zeebrugge – by Vincent de Saedeleer, Vice-president of the port managing company. During the ceremony, representatives of the parties and officials from the Embassy of Belgium in Russia noted that the launch of the new area of cooperation with Zeebrugge indicates mutual desire to preserve and strengthen the economic and trade relations between Russian and European port companies.
Cooperation with the Port of Zeebrugge for FSUE “Rosmorport” is an opportunity to find another partner in an ideal in geographical relation port center of Europe, to establish a permanent liaison for the exchange of information on legislative initiatives and expand business contacts. In addition, it will allow starting in the future joint programs for training and retraining of staff, as well as to share best practices of port infrastructure development and attract experts from the Port of Zeebrugge for advice.
Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Zeebrugge means for FSUE “Rosmorport” the completion of establishment the working contacts with all the ports of Belgium – previously such documents have been signed with the Port of Antwerp International and the Port of Ghent (Ghent Port Company).
