Revision of MSC.1/Circ.1185
The Maritime Safety Committee of the IMO, at its 91st session in November 2012,
approved the revision of MSC.1/Circ.1185 on the “Guide for cold water survival” as annexed to IMO circular MSC.1/Circ.1185/Rev.1.
The purpose of the guide is to examine the hazards of cold exposure that may endanger human life, and to provide seafarers with advice on how to prevent or minimize those dangers.
