MPA Singapore Circular 11/2013
The MPA Singapore has issued Shipping Circular No.11 including all resolutions adopted by the IMO 65th Maritime Environmental Protection Committee (MEPC 65) held from 13 to 17 May 2013, at IMO Headquarters in London.
Resolution MEPC.235(65) | Amendments to Annex I of MARPOL 73/78(Amendments to Form A and Form B of Supplements to the IOPPCertificate under MARPOL Annex I);Form A and Form B of the Supplements to the IOPP Certificate areamended by deleting the recording of incinerator’s capacity.The amendments to MARPOL Annex I will enter into force on 1 October2014, and will be given effect through amendments to the Prevention ofPollution of the Sea (Oil) Regulations |
Resolution MEPC.236(65) | Amendments to the Condition AssessmentScheme under MARPOL Annex I;The Condition Assessment Scheme (CAS) under MARPOL Annex I isamended to replace references to A.744(18) with the International Code on the enhanced programme of inspections during surveys of bulk carriersand tankers, 2011 (2011 ESP Code) following adoption of the Code.The amendments will enter into force on 1 October 2014, and will beimplemented through the CAS under the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea(Oil) Regulations. |
Resolution MEPC.237(65) | Adoption of the Code For RecognizedOrganizations (RO Code);The resolution adopts the RO Code which provides Flag States with aninternational standard that will assist in achieving harmonized andconsistent global implementation of requirements for the assessment andauthorization of Recognized Organizations (ROs).The RO Code will enter into force on 1 January 2015, and will beimplemented under the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea (Oil)Regulations and the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea (Noxious LiquidSubstances in Bulk) Regulations. |
