The New South Wales Ministry of Health, branded (NSW Health) have advised that free COVID-19 vaccinations will no longer be available to ship’s crew at Port Kembla from 31 December.
In the past 15 months NSW Health has provided free COVID-19 vaccinations, including 1st, 2nd and booster doses, to 1,371 seafarers.
In similar development, according to the Standard Club, after recent reports regarding the relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions in China, the club is advised that there is currently no consistent quarantine policy implemented across all Chinese regions.
As Christina Adamopoulou, Claims Executive, Standard Club, explains, China is expected to relax the strict measures currently in place following the issue of a new regulation by the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism Group of the State Council on 11 November 2022.
Furthermore, the Health Ministry of Sri Lanka has removed the preventive measures enforced during the COVID-19 period for persons travelling to Sri Lanka from overseas with effect from 7th December 2022.
Accordingly, the requirement to produce COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate by any person arriving to Sri Lanka via any airport or seaport is removed.
Furthermore, the requirement to produce a pre-boarding or on-arrival negative COVID-19 test (PCR/RAT) by any person arriving to Sri Lanka via any airport or seaport has also been removed.
