For this reason the Port of Hamburg must become a Port 4.0, and in order to do that it plans to improve its infrastructure, implement fairway adjustments and secure good general conditions. An example of this development is the new mobile standard 5G, which is being tested in the Port of Hamburg, which is expected to benefit the entire city of Hamburg.
Moreover, the anticipated adjustment to the Elbe fairway, is expected to improve confidence in 2018, bringing adjustment of the navigation channel.
