All 24 Indian crew members are safe and in good condition
The Malta-flagged tanker vessel, MV Cotton was attacked near Port Gentil in Gabon, last week.An official of the Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed the accident. According to sources, there were 24 Indian seafarers onboard. Vessel’s operator said yesterday that pirate have release the tanker and the 24 Indian crew, Reuters reports
Cotton’s Turkish operator, Geden Lines, said on Monday the pirates had left the vessel in the early hours of the morning and its captain had resumed command. The master has confirmed that all 24 Indian crew members are safe and in good condition and the vessel is now on her way to a secure port.
