A new containership operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE), ran aground off Itajai, Brazil on November 7.
The 11,800-TEU ONE Amazon containership got stuck on a sandbar in the access channel at low tide, with the vessel ending up high and mostly dry in the channel.
After the incident, tugboats were deployed in an effort to refloat the ship, which was soon successful.
According to the port authority at Itajai, the event took place while the container ship was turning in the basin of the Itajai port complex.
The vessel was later assisted into the Portonave terminal in Navegantes.
