An offshore worker has died after falling into the North Sea, during works on the Culzean field, that Total operates. A search and rescue operation was initiated on January 24, after the worker went missing. The body was found a little later and police confirmed the incident.
Specifically, a worker went missing from the Culzean field, at North Sea. This sparked a search and rescue operation, which discovered the body.
The Scottish police confirmed the incident, saying that the body of a man was discovered in the North Sea, during a search and rescue operation to find a missing person.
French oil firm Total, who operates the gas field in the the central North Sea, has not made any comment yet, until the body has been identified.
The Culzean field is located about around 145 miles east of Aberdeen, Scotland.
