The Japan P&I Club informs that media said several vessels were affected by jamming activity of GPS signals near the Korean Border although no significant accident or damage has been reported.
”Please be advised that North Korea is jamming GPS signals near the border with increased jamming activity observed in the recent days. As this can affect the Member’s vessels entering Korean waters/ports, it would be recommendable to warn the Members to be cautious when entering Korean waters near the border. We will carefully watch the development and will let you know of any updates/changes. Do not hesitate to contact us, should you require further information/assistance.” the Japan Club states in its related circular.
The Club advises operators entering Korean water near the border to be caution.
