The German container shipping line Hapag-Lloyd is launching its second service in Gothenburg.
“It is extremely positive for Swedish industry that Hapag-Lloyd is expanding its traffic to Gothenburg. The new service will further reinforce our wide range of liner services and our role as the largest freight hub in Scandinavia,” said Claes Sundmark, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at the Port of Gothenburg.
The ships will call twice-weekly at the Port of Gothenburg container terminal, APM Terminals, commencing on June 9.
“Bookings to and from Gothenburg have increased in recent months and to meet the demand on the important swedish market we have added a further call to Gothenburg. The Port of Gothenburg is without doubt the largest Swedish hub for imports and exports,” said Dirk Kaestner, Managing Director of Hapag Lloyd Sweden.
