The Japan P&I Club informs about the recent navigation warnings of China Waters issued by MSA China.
Announcement on the well exploration operation of Well PL20-2-2
Drilling platform “Bo Hai No.7” and M/V “Hai Yang Shi You 688” will conduct well exploration operation in the area centered by Well PL20-2-2 (38°20 43.383 N;120°15 54.252 E), in a radius of 500 meters from 8 January 2016 to 20 February 2016. During the operation, apart from the large number of work lights at night, there is a red light set on the top of the derrick, a Morse (U) white light of 15 seconds (flash simultaneously) and a Morse (U) fog horn of 30 seconds set outboard of each spud leg of the platform. Work boats will keep watch on relevant VHF Channels round the clock.

The 10KV submarine cable between Gaoyu and Lingshan Island of Huangdao District of Qingdao has been rerouted, the cable route may be found at the attached circular (please sea below)
Replacement project of the RUP-WHPD water injection pipeline in Penglai 19-3 Oilfied
circular water areas centered by three points (starting point: 38°23 27.16 N, 120°06 40.04 E; break point: 38°23 03.93 N , 120°05 57.34 E; end point: 38°21 39.63 N , 120°05 36.73 E), in a radius of 500m, and water areas between the two external common tangents of the above three circles.
Cautions
- Workboats should display lights and shapes in accordance with the Convention on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972, exhibit shapes of “Ball-Diamond-Ball” vertically at day and display all-round signal lights of “Red-White-Red” vertically at night.
- Workboats should keep watch on relevant VHF Channels.
- Workboats should strengthen contacts with the passing vessels and report the location of the workboats to the opposing vessels timely and accurately when inquired.
- Passing vessels are forbidden to enter the above work site.
