Hong Kong’s Jinhui Shipping and Transportation announced that they cancelled the purchase of the second of two Supramax bulkers, that they had ordered, as it was not delivered according to schedule.
Specifically, in April 23, 2019, Jinhui announced the purchase of two 50,300 dwt Supramaxes, Aigeorgis and Aifanourios, from Greek ship manager Chartworld Shipping Corporation.
The 2001 and 2002-built vessels were acquired for the amount of USD 12 million, or USD 5.75 million and USD 6.25 million respectively.

Although Aigeorgis was delivered to the shipping company on time, the purchase of Aifanourios was cancelled after it was not delivered by the May 31, 2019, deadline.
Concluding, after being delivered with Aigeorgis, Jinhui’s fleet is now consisting of 19 dry bulk vessels, including two Post-Panamax and sixteen Supramax units.
