The new Japanese Prime Minister has ensure Australia that the search for a cattle ship that sank during a typhoon will resume.
Australia’s Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, congratulated Mr. Suga on his appointment and conveyed his appreciation for the Japanese coast guard search for Gulf Livestock 1, which sank on September 2.
According to local media, Mr. Suga pledged that the search is resuming and Japan will collaborate as much as possible.
As of now, two Australians are missing, as well as 36 Filipinos and two New Zealanders. Overall, of the ship’s 43 crew, three were rescued, one of whom one died.
The Panamanian-flagged livestock carrier, Gulf Livestock 1, with 43 crewmembers onboard is said to have been lost southwest of Japan after sailing into a typhoon moving across the region.
