Video depicts operations conducted under the Ichthys LNG project. With the Ichthys LNG Project Gas Export Pipeline, Semac 1, Castorone and Saipem FDS completed 882 km of 42” gas export offshore pipeline, to transfer gas to the LNG process plant in Darwin, Australia.
Saipem informed that, at peak production, the pipelay rate exceeded 4.4 km/day. The Italian oil and gas company was contracted and joined the project in 2012, to realize operations on the gas export offshore pipeline.
The firms cooperating under the Ichthys LNG project are Inpex, Total, CPC and Australian subsidiaries of Toho Gas, Osaka Gas. Tokyo Gas, Chubu Electric and Kansai Electric.
