Launching a new Turkey Israel Express Service
Hapag-Lloyd is launching a new Turkey Israel Express Service (TIX) which further enhances Hapag-Lloyd’s port coverage in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. First sailing of the weekly service will be May 5 from Mersin in Turkey.
The TIX initially links five ports in Egypt, Israel and Turkey including the hub ports Damietta, Port Said, Mersin and Haifa for connectivity to Hapag-Lloyd’s global service network. From end of June Iskenderun will be additionally included into the service. The weekly service will be operated with one vessel with an operational capacity of 810 TEU including 150 reefer plugs. The port rotation will be Damietta – Port Said (East) – Mersin – Iskenderun (from end of June) – Haifa – Damietta.
With the launch of TIX port rotation of two existing services in the Mediterranean will change as follows:
New port rotation of the Levante Express Service (LEX): Cagliari – Genoa – Leghorn – Naples – Salerno – Cagliari – Alexandria – Damietta – Mersin – Izmir – Cagliari.
New port rotation of the Adriatic Express Service (ADX): Damietta – Rijeka – Koper – Venice – Ancona – Bari (from June) – Port Said (East) – Damietta.
