In a recent incident, the cement carrier Nacc Argonaut grounded in the St. Lawrence River in Ontario, Canada.
The vessel, which was en route from Montreal to Oshawa, encountered this mishap during the morning hours of September 24 that resulted in it running aground. Unfortunately, the vessel remains grounded, causing traffic in the area to come to a halt.
In a possible response to recently imposed speed restrictions, the ship appears to have veered off course from the designated fairway. The vessel was carrying construction materials and was partially loaded.
The Canadian-flagged Nacc Argonaut has a deadweight tonnage of 13,977. Fortunately, no leaks were reported as a result of the incident.
