A fire erupted in the engine room of the containership GSL CHLOE on 24 November as it was approaching Ningbo Port to dock, according to reports.
As reported, the fire was swiftly put out, but it still led to disruptions in the wider Ningbo Port area. The incident took place while the Liberian-flagged vessel was preparing to dock, and although the crew quickly extinguished the flames, the ship’s position obstructed key passageways, creating some logistical issues.
