In line with its policy to achieve pricing flexibility and as part of its vision to sustainability, the Egyptian Government announced a package of incentives and discounts reaching up to 45% on the fees of navigational aids and lighthouses.
This aims to reduce the bills of services provided for vessels calling at Egyptian ports and transiting Suez Canal.
Additionally, the new incentives include the reduction of formalities and paper works in order to facilitate the procedures of transshipment containers/bunkering.
The new package are also expected to prevent the duplication between any kind of fees concerning transit toll and any other port dues.
It is expected that this initiative will have a significant positive impact on the increase of vessels calling at Egyptian ports and transiting Suez Canal, the development of investments in Egyptian ports,
