Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company (DSIC), part of China Shipbuilding Corporation, and classification society DNV GL signed an agreement for joint development on the smart ship R&D project.
Via an online meeting on 14 May, the two companies agreed also on the development of a 3,500-ton heavy crane project.
While the shipbuilding group is accelerating the recovery of production rhythm, it is actively coordinating with all parties including the government, shipowners and overseas equipment suppliers to overcome the adverse effects of the epidemic,

DNV GL Group has experience in artificial intelligence, unmanned intelligent ships, ECO and environmental protection technology, and also meets the ICE level requirements of Arctic ships.
DSIC hopes that more technical support will be given in the future to the development of a new generation of ships and offshore engineering.
