Police on the island of Malta, intercepted a merchant ship with 97 kilos of cocaine with a street value of over €11 million, that had just docked at the Malta Freeport in Marsaxlokk.
As explained, the vessel believed to be the MSC Shreya B and arrived on the island on 5th August.
The containership was arriving from Golon and was heading to Gioia Tauro, Italy.
A random inspection on Sunday morning by divers of a security company engaged by the agents of the vessel and they discovered large plastic packages hidden under the ship.
Then, they called the police. After the investigation, the vessel was permitted to depart Malta after midnight on 7th August.
