Greece-based shipping company Diana Containerships Inc. announced that it has signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement to sell the 2006-built vessel “New Jersey” for demolition, on an “as is where is” basis.
The company said that it will sell the ship to an unaffiliated third party, with delivery due to the buyer by mid-March 2018, for approximately US$9.67 million.
Upon completion of the aforementioned sale and the previously announced sale of two Post-Panamax container vessels, Diana Containerships Inc.’s fleet will consist of 8 container vessels (4 Post-Panamax and 4 Panamax). These vessels are expected to be delivered to the buyer at the latest by March 30, 2018.
