Two companies in cement shipping have announced that they will jointly market their respective fleets of pneumatic cement carriers. Namely, Hamburg-based Baltrader and Philadelphia-based United Bulk Carriers (UBC) will collaborate under the newly launched Cement Carrier Alliance (CCA).
This new cooperation aims to provide various vessel sizes to existing and new customers while also improving marketing to current and developing markets.

With currently 15 specialized, modern, self-discharging cement carriers the alliance, includes 3,000 up to 15,000 DWAT vessels.
As two independent partners motivated by the same objectives, we have teamed up for the marketing of our respective cement carrier fleets
CCA stated.
Baltrader and UBC will remain independent entities each operating out of their own offices, while at the same time offering continuity in their customer relationships. CCA will be jointly represented by the UBC office in Philadelphia and the Baltrader office in Hamburg.
