The Motorship’s Gas Fuelled Ships Conference will return for its 7th year, on 16-18 November at Hamburg, Germany. This year’s conference boasts DNV GL as the gold sponsor and will include more than 30 presentations from prominent speakers who are experts in their fields.
Among the 30 presentations to be given, there will be 10 case studies involving operators, designers and shipyards, which will inform participants on landmark LNG, methanol and other low-flashpoint fuelled projects around the world in the commercial shipping sector.
With a focus on knowledge sharing from a variety of projects, speakers will examine the latest advances in vessel design and operation, propulsion, supply infrastructure and associated technology. Delegates will benefit from the opportunity not only to be updated on these latest technical developments but will also be able to interact and network with speakers throughout the two days of the conference.

The MotorShip Editor, Gavin Lipsith, will be interviewing the Chairman, Peter Keller, who is also the Executive VP of TOTE Inc., live on stage at Gas Fuelled Ships 2016. Keller joined TOTE Inc. in February 2012. He has experience in port and terminal development, liner industry activities, labour relations, intermodal operations and supply chain economics and strategies.
Gas Fuelled Ships 2016 will continue the legacy of the previous six conferences with the continued support it receives from major players in the industry connected with shipping and the use of gas as a maritime fuel. Supporters include BIMCO, VDR, Maritime LNG Platform, Intermanager and GE Marine, who will be sponsoring this year’s conference dinner which offers the opportunity to continue discussions in a more informal setting at the end of day one.
