In 2016, he continued his research as a Fulbright visiting scholar at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He continues to train and advise the armed forces and other uniformed services in the area of education and leadership development. In 2019, he assumed the presidency of the Mitsui OSK Lines-Magsaysay Maritime Academy. Dr. Morales has a bachelor’s degree in mathematical sciences from the United States Coast Guard Academy, a master’s degree in computer science from the Ateneo de Manila University, and a Ph.D. in software engineering from Cranfield University in the U.K. He was awarded as one of the outstanding teachers of the Philippines by the Metrobank Foundation.
