The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility) and Abu Dhabi Maritime, part of AD Ports Group, have launched MARSDNA, a digital tool designed to accelerate sustainable practices in the maritime sector.
Developed by Maqta Technologies Group, MARSDNA enables maritime stakeholders to measure their progress on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals against national and international standards. Through an intuitive and cost-free platform, users can complete a questionnaire to receive a detailed ESG report with bespoke recommendations and resources to enhance sustainability efforts.
By empowering local organisations with the resources and strategic framework they need to make meaningful gains in sustainability, we can uplift the whole of our maritime community, foster innovation, and set a global standard for progress.

In its first rollout phase, MARSDNA focuses on five key segments across the maritime sector value chain:
- shipping companies,
- port and terminal operators,
- freight forwarders and cargo beneficiaries,
- marine and off-shore services,
- and marina operators.
Subsequent phases will expand the tool’s scope, eventually encompassing the whole of the maritime sector.
As informed, MARSDNA consolidates metrics from frameworks like the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the International Maritime Organization, making ESG tracking accessible to organizations of all sizes, including small and medium enterprises.
Digitalisation is a potent force in driving collective progress, helping users conceptualise and achieve environmental objectives. MARSDNA will help Abu Dhabi unlock its potential to become a global leader in maritime sustainability.
