For over a year, Yemen’s Houthi militants, who are aligned with Iran, have been launching attacks on commercial shipping in the Red Sea. Their actions are part of an ongoing effort to enforce a naval blockade on Israel. The Houthis claim they are conducting these attacks in solidarity with the Palestinians amid the ongoing war between Israel and Gaza, which has been ongoing for over a year.
