Chinese Zhuhai port will get two newbuilt 25,800 dwt multipurpose vessels in light of expanding its bulk shipping business. In the meantime, the port has decreased the orders for newbuilding barges and scrapped the dual-fuel engine plan due to lack of LNG fuel stations on the domestic river network.
Specifically, both vessels were ordered by Zhuhai Port and Dalian-based owner Success Network last year, and will be deployed to transport steel products between Dalian and Zhuhai Port.
The cost f the investment will reach the $23.14 million.
Zhuhai Port noted that the company will continue to grow its bulk shipping business by expanding its fleet.
Concluding, the previous week, Zhuhai Port announced a plan to raise $145m for fleet expansion.
