Wilhelmsen Ship Management (WSM) announced the acquisition of 50% of NorSea Wind AS and it’s subsidiaries to offer a unified and integrated solution to the renewable wind energy market. Norsea provides project management and logistics planning throughout all stages for on and offshore wind farm projects.
NorSea Wind was funded in 2016 as a subsidiary of Norsea Group.
According to Carl Schou, President and CEO of Wilhelmsen Ship Management, NorSea Wind will enable WSM to strengthen their service in the offshore wind sector.
In addition, John Stangeland, President and CEO of Norsea Group AS, added that the acquisition will present both participants with development opportunities, and will enable them to meet future opportunities in the wind energy sector.
