The rig, operated by French oil major Total, was used for drilling in Brulpadda well in South Africa, which resulted in a discovery, in 2019.
The rig was initially planned to head to South Africa for another assignment with Total in the first quarter of 2020, but COVID-19 delays postponed these plans.
As such, the rig departed Bergen, Norway on 2 July 2020 to drill the Luiperd-1 well, in South Africa. The video depicts the well transiting the English Channel on 5 July.
The campaign first exploration well, Luiperd-1, is expected to spud by September 2020.
