According to the weekly rig count for the U.S. and Canadian drilling activity issued by Baker Hughes on Friday, January 24, the amount of offshore rigs in the U.S increased by one unit in comparison to the previous week.
To be more specific, U.S. Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last week’s count to 794, with oil rigs up 3 to 676, gas rigs down 5 to 115 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3.
Moreover, U.S. Rig Count, is down 265 rigs from last year’s count of 1,059, with oil rigs down 186, gas rigs down 82, and miscellaneous rigs up 3 to 3.
The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 1 to 21 and up 1 rig year-over-year.
Additionally, the Canada Rig Count didn’t mark any change from last week at 244, with oil rigs up 2 to 154 and gas rigs down 2 to 90.
Canada Rig Count is up 12 rigs from last year’s count of 232, with oil rigs up 8 and gas rigs up 4.
