Dues of 2010 unchanged in 2011
Admiral Ahmed Aly Fadel, Chairman and Managing Director of the Suez Canal Authority, declared that ” in view of the consequences of the global financial crisis the world encountered in the end of 2008, the Suez Canal Authority was keen enough to keep the Suez Canal dues unchanged in 2009 and 2010 for all types ships.
The beginning of 2010 witnessed some indications that the situation of the world economy is getting better, whereas the studies carried out by the Suez Canal Authority, as well as following up of the world economic reports, showed that the global economy is not completely cured from the negative effects of the world financial crisis. That was clear in the appearance of severe debts problems in some European countries.
Building on the above mentioned criteria, and on the expectations of the world maritime traffic in 2011,the Administration Suez Canal Authority decided keeping The Suez Canal dues of 2010 unchanged in 2011.
