California’s five containerized ports inclusive of the Port of Hueneme, the Port of Long Beach, the Port of Los Angeles, the Port of Oakland, and the Port of San Diego, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Sacramento launching the California Port Data Partnership alongside state and federal partners.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and Port of Long Beach (POLB), with the support of C40 Cities, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a green and digital shipping corridor between Singapore and the San Pedro Bay port complex.

The Long Beach City Council unanimously passed a Ship It Zero Resolution 8-0, after the city attorney recommended that the council approve the resolution. The resolution took effect immediately upon its adoption by the Long Beach City Council.

Today, container ships at all of California’s major ports use shore power, thanks to technology developed at the Port of Long Beach.

After 25 months, the Marine Exchange of Southern California said that the container ship backup for the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach has ended.
