MARORKA and SMDERI sign a new “green” agreement

Juergen Kudritzki, CEO of Marorka Iceland, and Dong Jianfu, President of Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute (SMDERI), have signed a cooperation agreement in Shanghai. Nordic Tankers choose Marorka platform for energy efficiency

 Marorka and Nordic Tankers signed a fleet agreement for Marorka Online,  a comprehensive energy management platform for visualizing fleet information and facilitating collaboration between ship and shore for all vessels in their fleet including owned, time chartered and commercially managed vessels.The contract is based on a yearly subscription fee for a cloud-based solution, with no installation of hardware or software required. The data used is taken from noon-reports and imported from a third-party provider.In addition, Marorka Online will automatically combine collected data from vessels equipped with Marorka Onboard solutions (automated data collection) with the manual noon report data. Nordic Tankers will then have a single online performance system for all vessels in the fleet, irrespective of ownership or whether vessels are operating under commercial management in a short-term or long-term perspective.“Nordic Tankers’ commitment combined with internal training and onshore management will introduce a continuous improvement cycle that we expect to bring significant savings. MARORKA wins UASC energy management contract

MARORKA has secured a contract with United Arab Shipping Company (S.A.G.) to deliver ship performance monitoring solutions which will help to optimize vessel performance and subsequently seek to reduce the fuel consumption and carbon emissions of the UASC fleet. "At UASC, we focus on providing our customers with environmentally sustainable and cost-efficient transport solutions. Having worked together with Marorka for some time in helping to optimize our fleet's fuel performance, we have now selected Marorka energy management solutions for both new buildings and existing vessels.
