Having accumulated vast experience in the global cruise industry as Act. Secretary General at CLIA Europe, he referred to the future travel trends and discussed about the emerging challenges.

G. P. Wild Limited published a report, after CLIA wanted to determine the reliability of cruise ships from the perspective of analyzing the number and type of operational incidents during cruises. The US Coast Guard has recently received a safety bulletin from Cruise Lines International Association, reporting problems with lifejacket lights. As a result, the US Coast Guard recommends that lifejackets with lights be stored in temperature and humidity controlled, water-tight environments.

The Cruise Lines International Association released its 2017 Asia Cruise Trends report, revealing that cruise tourism in Asia is still growing at an impressive rate. A total of 3.1 million Asians took cruises in 2016, 55 percent more than in 2015.
