The Aspen Institute announced the addition of Inter IKEA Group as the first member of the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), alongside co-founders Amazon, Patagonia, and Tchibo.

Amazon is among the backers of the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA), a news group of shipping users seeikng to force the acceleration of the industry's decarbonization.

Amazon announced that it would adopt green hydrogen, starting in 2025, to decarbonize its operations. The contract will provide power for 30,000 forklifts or 800 heavy-duty trucks. Even though ocean shipping was mentioned in the announcement, Amazon did not give a firm commitment to when it would green its ocean cargo shipping operations. 

The Britannia Club informs that its correspondents advise that the Brazilian Navy is carrying out navigation tests for a draft of 11.90 meters in the Grande do Curuá Channel, at Barra Norte.
