Siemens Gamesa announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Formosa Plastics Corporation for offshore wind in Taiwan, today, July 5. The company noted that this follows a series of earlier agreements.
Specifically, the agreements with local and international parties aim at promoting a safe, high-quality and competitive supply chain.
Siemens Gamesa signed the first local supply agreements in Taiwan in 2018 by awarding contracts for Ørsted’s Formosa 1 Phase 2 and wpd’s Yunlin offshore wind projects.
In addition, recently DNV GL awarded Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) the project certificate for its Nissum Bredning offshore wind power park located in Thyborøn, in waters of north-western Denmark.
