Interferry announced that it has been approached by both the European Commission and Transport Canada seeking temporary accommodation for migrants for the coming winter season due to the current migrant situation in Europe.
Interferry says in the announcement on its website:
”Interferry members who are in a position to offer for instance out of service ferries for migrant accommodation are encouraged to liaise with [email protected] for further discussions.
Any financial compensation for such measures are solely at the grace of the Governments involved, but Interferry understands that the requests are not made on an exclusive pro-bono basis.”
