The International Committee on Seafarers Welfare (ICSW) is organising a Party in the Park for seafarers and their families in Luneta Park, Manila, Philippines on Saturday 26 June from 9am to 2pm.
Visitors to the event will include Efthimios Mitropoulos, Secretary General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), and the Philippines Secretary for Labour and Employment, Marianito Roque.
Roger Harris, Executive Director of the ICSW, said: Party in the Park will be an exciting event that will help to raise the profile of seafarers welfare locally and internationally. We are really pleased that the event is gaining strong support from unions, welfare organisations, and shipping companies.
Party in the Park is supported by the ITF, IMO, International Labour Organisation, International Shipping Federation (ISF) and the International Christian Maritime Association (ICMA), as well as individual shipping companies.
